Last week Engager’s COO Aisling took to the front of the class to take part in BizWorld Ireland’s workshop at Thornleigh Educate Together National School in Swords.
BizWorld Ireland is a not-for-profit organisation that promote entrepreneurship skills for young people.
Aisling was put to a different kind of test when she tutored a classroom full of the brightest ten year old minds in the art of entrepreneurship.
The class wasted no time getting into the swing of things as they paired off into groups to work on their business empires. The workshop included activities to promote creativity, presentation skills, communication and negotiation skills and developing the best business idea their imaginations allowed.
The far-fetching ideas and innovations which were developed in the classroom are a perfect example of why it is so important to implement entrepreneurship and innovation throughout primary schools.
“It was great to see the children so enthusiastic about their businesses! We need to make sure the entrepreneurial spirit is encouraged in the next generation.” – Aisling O’Reilly
