Engager has been named as one of the eight grand finalists for this years Google Adopt a Start Up programme. The team took part in a number of lectures and workshops at Google HQ Dublin throughout the 12 week programme which covered topics such as Awards & Goal Setting, Analytics, Design Thinking and Presentation Skills. The programme included dedicated Google mentors who worked hands on with the Engager team on Audience Development and Market Strategy.
The aim of the programme is to accelerate the growth of high potential Irish Startups. Leveraging the skills and expertise of Google Ireland’s Digital Consultants, they provide skill based mentoring to high-potential Startups, helping them to structure for scale and get the most out of the web.
Engager will now pitch its developed business plans and results of the program to members of Google Ireland’s leadership team as well as prominent figures from the Irish Startup Community at a Grand Final in Google’s HQ on Thursday, 6th of April. The audience will consist of the 30 Start Up participants, Google Ireland employees, Irish Start Up community leaders and the Irish press/media.
Our very own COO Aisling will have 6 minutes to pitch to the five judges:
Joe Healy – High Potential Startup Unit, Enterprise Ireland
Patrick Walsh – Managing Director, DogPatch Labs
David Grunwald – Head of Global Partnerships, Google for Entrepreneurs, Google
Cera Ward – Country Director, Large Customer Sales, UK & Ireland, Google
Colin Goulding – Director, Global Customer Experience, Google
The pitch will be followed by a 3 minute Q&A!
Here is to hoping that Engager can take home one of the amazing prizes that Google has put forward and best of luck to all of the other StartUps involved in this years grand final (listed below).
Roll on Thursday!
